Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit Review

I have a confession to make, this is my first contour kit! I know right shock horror, how did I get threw 2014 without shelling out on the Anastasia contour kit, or even the Smashbox one?! Well, I'm sort of a stingy bitch. Don't get me wrong I do love high end makeup (Hello Dior star skin you beaut!) but £50 for a cheekbone? Kinda a little pricey.
I made do with brown/taupe eye shadows that did the job just fine for me, but the other day I was grabbing some lunch in boots and i saw this on the display, I'm guessing its a new realise and they had a pound of too. Cant really say no to that. Plus extra boots points YAY.

On the inside it has a handy "how to guide" for beginners and comes with a highlight shade in Light powder, a bronzing shade in Medium Brown and a contour shade in Dark Brown. Inventive names right?

The shades are not the most pigmented ever, but for £6.49 its a steal. I find the highlight isn't shimmery enough for me personally, so I tend to use a different highlighter when doing my own makeup. The other two are build-able so you can have it as soft or harsh as you prefer.

If you've tried it what do you think? Let me know!

Zoeva Rose Gold Brush Set

My first post should probably be about something I am extremely exciting about owning, the Zoeva rose gold brush set, now this is my first ever time buying an actual complete brush set, I normally buy brushes at random from more high street brands like elf, real techniques and crown brush (with the occasional Mac brush, if im feeling flush).
This beauty of a set only cost me £56.95 for eight incredibly soft brushes!

The first four brushes are
106 Powder Brush
102 Silk Finish Brush
110 Face Shape Brush
127 Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush

The last four are
142 Concealer Buffer
227 Soft Definer
231 Petite Crease Brush
317 Wing Liner Brush

My favourite brush from the set would have to be the petite crease brush as it is great for carving out your crease if you have slightly hooded eyes like I do.
If you're looking for a great set of brushes to work and look great on a vanity then I couldn't recommend something more.
What's your favourite brushes at the moment? Let me know!
