My MAC Lipstick Collection

Now I by no means have a substantial amount of Mac lippies, I am happy with my little (& slowly growing) collection but like I said last week I'm trying not to buy any makeup this month, so right now its all about the appreciation of the little beauty's I have.

As you can probably tell by the swatches I am a big fan of mattes, I have two retro mattes, ruby woo & flat out fabulous, out of the two Ruby woo is a lot harder to put on the lips but the pay off is so worth it. I have one amplified and its my Viva Glam Miley Cyrus and it is a super bright true pink. I wear more dark lipsticks so I got it on a bit of whim to try and get out my comfort zone a little..
I have twig and media and the're satin finishes, twig is my go too daily love it goes perfect with Maybelline's velvet beige lip liner.
And finally I have honey-love, Russian red and smoked purple. Smoked purple is my most recent pictures as you can see from the picture below but I can already tell its going to be a winner!

I have my eye on Viva Glam 2 & Sin next! What are your favourite MAC lipsticks?

March Wishlist

This month I'm trying to not buy any makeup, well I say this month I mean as of today.. For the past six months I think I have been spending all my spare cash on makeup and sort of neglecting my wardrobe a little and with the seasons changing I should probably sort my shit out and buy myself some new clothes. So here is a little wishlist of all things none makeup that I sort of (probably don't) need.

Wish List

Valley Eyewear Dead Coffin Club Matte Black Sunglasses £132.00

Olivia Burton Rose Gold Watch £75.00

Ikea Black Mirror  £25.00

Topshop Leigh Black Jeans £38.00

Vivienne Westwood for Melissa Black Orb Flats £85.00

Topshop Rings £12.50

On a completely different note, did any of you get to pick up any of the Mac Cinderella Collection this morning? I'm having non buyers remorse (is that a thing) for not getting anything. Sighh.

MAKEUP GEEK

So I'm pretty damn excited about these five little pans of eyeshowey goodness, I was meant to blog about this for a while now, I just had a week off work and was meant to be semi productive instead I found Sons of Anarchy... I don't think I need to say any more.

I live in England and until I started watching all things makeup on Youtube, I had never heard of Makeup Geek before, boy am I glad that changed! Thankfully there shipping rate is really good and my order of 5 shadows, 1 blusher and a medium Z Palette was around £50ish including shipping!
I ordered Stealth a matte grey, Envy a metallic green, Hipster a sand/taupe colour with a light shimmer, Bitten (my personal favourite) a matte deep red and Vanilla Bean a light shimmer with a beige undertone.

Here's the swatches for you, I'm really pale so vanilla bean pretty much matches my skin perfectly, but these shadows are crazy pigmented and blend beautify!
I can't wait to get my hands on more

Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit Review

I have a confession to make, this is my first contour kit! I know right shock horror, how did I get threw 2014 without shelling out on the Anastasia contour kit, or even the Smashbox one?! Well, I'm sort of a stingy bitch. Don't get me wrong I do love high end makeup (Hello Dior star skin you beaut!) but £50 for a cheekbone? Kinda a little pricey.
I made do with brown/taupe eye shadows that did the job just fine for me, but the other day I was grabbing some lunch in boots and i saw this on the display, I'm guessing its a new realise and they had a pound of too. Cant really say no to that. Plus extra boots points YAY.

On the inside it has a handy "how to guide" for beginners and comes with a highlight shade in Light powder, a bronzing shade in Medium Brown and a contour shade in Dark Brown. Inventive names right?

The shades are not the most pigmented ever, but for £6.49 its a steal. I find the highlight isn't shimmery enough for me personally, so I tend to use a different highlighter when doing my own makeup. The other two are build-able so you can have it as soft or harsh as you prefer.

If you've tried it what do you think? Let me know!

Zoeva Rose Gold Brush Set

My first post should probably be about something I am extremely exciting about owning, the Zoeva rose gold brush set, now this is my first ever time buying an actual complete brush set, I normally buy brushes at random from more high street brands like elf, real techniques and crown brush (with the occasional Mac brush, if im feeling flush).
This beauty of a set only cost me £56.95 for eight incredibly soft brushes!

The first four brushes are
106 Powder Brush
102 Silk Finish Brush
110 Face Shape Brush
127 Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush

The last four are
142 Concealer Buffer
227 Soft Definer
231 Petite Crease Brush
317 Wing Liner Brush

My favourite brush from the set would have to be the petite crease brush as it is great for carving out your crease if you have slightly hooded eyes like I do.
If you're looking for a great set of brushes to work and look great on a vanity then I couldn't recommend something more.
What's your favourite brushes at the moment? Let me know!
